About this course

The 100hrs Pranayama & Meditation Teacher Training Online Course is a structured, in‑depth program designed to help you master the art and science of yogic breathing and meditation. Guided by experienced teachers from Andiappan Yoga College and Research Centre, India, this certified yoga course blends traditional yoga philosophy with modern teaching methods so you can confidently share pranayama and meditation with others in a safe, systematic way.

Through progressive online modules, you will explore classical breathing techniques, cleansing practices, concentration methods, and guided meditation tools suitable for different levels of students. The course is ideal for yoga teachers, wellness professionals, and dedicated practitioners who wish to deepen their personal practice while gaining practical skills to design and lead effective pranayama and meditation sessions in group classes or one‑to‑one settings.

Mode of Learning:

All classes are conducted via live streaming on Zoom. Students will have access to a dedicated student portal, where they can view course materials, schedule and access the digital manual covering the full course syllabus.

The course is structured as follows:

1.⁠ ⁠YTT Classes 12 x 3 = 36 hours
2.⁠ ⁠Group Classes - 30 hours
3.⁠ ⁠Andiappan Yoga Classes - 16 classes = 24 hours
4.⁠ ⁠Assignment / Self-study 10 hours
5.⁠ ⁠Community Class observation - 5 hours

Total = 105 hrs

Point 1: The Yoga Theory and Practical sessions will commence according to the batch you have enrolled in and will be conducted as per the scheduled batch timings. These sessions comprehensively cover both the theoretical and practical components of the course syllabus. Group Practice Classes (30 Hours): Recommended Classes List

These classes help students understand the various styles and lineages of yoga while supporting consistent practice throughout the training. Students can interact with teachers after each session, receive personalized feedback, and gain practical guidance to refine both their practice and teaching skills.

Andiappan Yoga Classes 16 classes = 24 hours

These specialized master classes are an integral part of the training, offering deeper engagement with the syllabus poses and self practice. Students gain clarity, overcome limitations, and build the confidence to teach. The sessions also guide students in developing structured sequences for personal practice and future teaching.

Point 4: Assignments, Self-Study, and Yoga Research/AI (10 Hours):

Students will receive complimentary access to the Yog.live AI platform, designed exclusively for YTT participants. This advanced learning tool, developed by our founder Dr. Yogananth Andiappan, enables students to explore and research a wide range of yoga-related topics in depth. It supports a deeper understanding of yoga science and its practical applications, enhanced through modern technology.

Community Class observation: 5 hours

Yoga teaching is truly complete when it is shared with those who need it most. Students are encouraged to observe volunteer teachers of Andiappan Yoga Community (AYC), one of Hong Kong’s largest non-profit yoga organizations, with opportunities to continue volunteering after graduation. Observation classes are available for online observation.

Accreditation and Affiliation:

Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre, is internationally recognized for its significant contribution to yogic science. Founded in 1950 by Guruji Dr. Asana Andiappan, the institution is guided by senior teachers and trust members with over five decades of experience in yogasana and naturopathy.

The college is affiliated with respected organizations including the International Yoga Academy (Hong Kong), Vedic Wellness University (Florida), the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), and Yoga Alliance (USA). Today, its graduates are teaching and sharing the knowledge of traditional yoga in over 50 countries worldwide.

This Pranayama and Meditation Yoga Teacher Training Course is eligible to be registered with Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) hours. Yoga Alliance-registered yoga teachers are therefore eligible to enroll in this course for Continuing Education hours through the Yoga Alliance Certification.

In addition, all graduates will receive a dedicated teacher profile page on our affiliated school’s website, where they can showcase their qualifications and share details of their teaching locations.

Module 1 – Siddha Tradition and Lineage, Koshas

This module lays the foundation for your pranayama and meditation journey by introducing the Siddha and Andiappan yoga lineage, core yogic philosophy, and the subtle body system (koshas). You will explore key concentration methods that train the mind to become steady, focused, and ready for deeper meditation practices.

Module 2 – Mantra and Classical Meditation Practices

In this module, you dive into the power of sound and energy through mantra meditation, Kundalini‑based practices, and foundational meditation theory. You will also study different types of meditation and how to apply them for various physical, emotional, and mental conditions, making your teaching more precise and therapeutic.

Module 3 – Contemporary Meditation Approaches

This module explores contemporary and widely practised meditation systems such as Preksha Dhyana, Transcendental Meditation, cyclic meditation, and Vipassana‑inspired approaches. You will compare their methods, structure, and aims, and learn how to adapt them safely for different student backgrounds and needs.

Module 4 – Foundations and Teaching Practice of Pranayama

The final module focuses on the theory and practice of classical pranayama, preparing you to integrate breathwork confidently into your classes. You will learn essential pranayama techniques, sequencing principles, and safety guidelines, and how to combine pranayama with meditation to design complete, transformative sessions.
