Mode of Learning:

All classes are conducted via live streaming on Zoom. Students will have access to a dedicated student portal, where they can view course materials, schedule and access the digital manual covering the full course syllabus.

The course is structured as follows:

  • YTT Theory and Practical – 110 hours
  • Group Practice Classes – 60 hours
  • Andiappan Yoga Classes 50 classes – 75 hours
  • Assignment, Self Study, Yoga Research/Ai – 25 hours
  • Group Discussion and Teaching practice – 10 hours
  • Teaching assist and community yoga therapy class teaching observation – 25 hours

Total Hours – 305 hrs

Point 1: The Yoga Theory and Practical sessions will commence according to the batch you have enrolled in and will be conducted as per the scheduled batch timings. These sessions comprehensively cover both the theoretical and practical components of the course syllabus. Group Practice Classes (60 Hours): Recommended Classes List

Attending these classes help students experience a range of therapeutically focused online group sessions and understand how different practices can be applied to support various health conditions. They also encourage consistent practice throughout the training period. After each session, students can interact with the teachers, receive personalised feedback, and gain practical guidance to refine both their own practice and their therapeutic teaching skills.

Andiappan Yoga Classes (50 classes / 60 Hours):

These specialized master classes are an integral part of the training, offering deeper engagement with the syllabus poses and self practice. Students gain clarity, overcome limitations, and build the confidence to teach. The sessions also guide students in developing structured sequences for personal practice and future teaching.

Point 4: Assignments, Self-Study, and Yoga Research/AI (25 Hours):

Students will receive complimentary access to the Yog.live AI platform, designed exclusively for YTT participants. This advanced learning tool, developed by our founder Dr. Yogananth Andiappan, enables students to explore and research a wide range of yoga-related topics in depth. It supports a deeper understanding of yoga science and its practical applications, enhanced through modern technology.

Point 5: Group Discussion and Teaching Practice: 10 hours

These online sessions provide students with the opportunity to teach in small groups and gain practical experience ahead of the final assessment. They offer a supportive environment to build confidence, refine teaching skills, and engage with fellow trainees, fostering a strong sense of community. These sessions are conducted regularly, with students from different ongoing course batches participating together. This allows for meaningful exchange of feedback, shared learning, and continuous improvement in teaching practice and skills.

Point 6: Teaching Assistance and Class Observation: 25 hours

Yoga teaching is truly complete when it is shared with those who need it most. Students are encouraged to observe, assist, and teach alongside the volunteer teachers of Andiappan Yoga Community (AYC), one of Hong Kong’s largest non-profit yoga organizations, with opportunities to continue volunteering after graduation.

Group Practice Classes, Andiappan Yoga Classes, and teaching observation sessions are available both online and in-studio, allowing students to learn either at the studio or from the comfort of home.

Accreditation and Affiliation:

Asana Andiappan College of Yoga and Research Centre, is internationally recognized for its significant contribution to yogic science. Founded in 1950 by Guruji Dr. Asana Andiappan, the institution is guided by senior teachers and trust members with over five decades of experience in yogasana and naturopathy.

The college is affiliated with respected organizations including the International Yoga Academy (Hong Kong), Vedic Wellness University (Florida), the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN), and Yoga Alliance (USA). Certification:

All students who successfully complete the course will receive a certification with lifetime validity, qualifying them to teach basic to intermediate level yoga classes worldwide. If you have already completed a 200-hour course, adding this 300-hour training will make you eligible to apply for the RYT 500 registration with Yoga Alliance. For those seeking the RYT 500 designation, our team provides full guidance and support throughout the entire registration process.

Yoga Therapy & Ayurveda Intro Module

The Intro Module lays the foundation course by introducing the core principles, history, and applications of yoga therapy and Ayurveda. It covers key concepts such as the origins of yoga therapy, yogic philosophy, chakras, nadis, marmas, tridosha, body constitutions, and yogic diet, helping students understand how these traditional frameworks support holistic healing and therapeutic practice.

Applied Anatomy for Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda

This Module explores the major joints and muscles of the upper and lower body, as well as the nervous, digestive, circulatory, and respiratory systems from a yoga therapy and Ayurvedic perspective.

Through these sessions, students learn how the body functions in practice, enabling them to apply anatomical understanding directly to therapeutic class design and safe, effective teaching.

Do online graduates receive the same 300hrs completion certification?

Absolutely. As our classes are held in interactive and live mode, online participants receive the same 300hrs Yoga Therapy certification and are equally eligible to apply for advanced registrations such as RYT 500 (subject to prior 200hrs).

Do I need prior yoga experience to join this course?

You don’t need extensive yoga experience, but a keen interest in yoga therapy and a sincere commitment to study this profound science is important. A regular personal yoga practice with our facult members by attending point 2 and 3 classes regualrly is highly recommended, as it will help you absorb the teachings more deeply and get the most benefit from the course.

What if I miss a live class?

If you miss up to 3 classes, you can attend revision sessions to cover the missed content. Please refer to the detailed class schedule for revision class dates. If you miss more than 3 classes, you may retake the missed sessions in an ongoing or upcoming batch. Kindly contact the course coordinator during your admission process, and they will assist you with the retake process.

How do online practical sessions work?

Practical yoga therapy sessions are conducted live, with teachers closely guiding, observing, and correcting you in real time, much like an in-person classroom. Each session is highly interactive, and our teachers are experienced in working effectively in the online format. Through clear demonstrations, case-based explanations, and ongoing dialogue, they ensure you understand each therapeutic technique and can apply it safely and confidently.
