Yoga Classes

Our Yoga Centre is located at Anna Nagar, Chennai. We offer regular yoga classes from Monday to Saturday and the timings of the class schedules are given below. All the classes are taught under the watchful guidance of Guruji Dr.Asana Andiappan and his team of well experienced and qualified yoga masters. Before joining our regular yoga classes all students are recommended to undergo a general health assessment conducted by our yoga therapist.   • Regular Yoga Classes

    Regular Group Yoga classes are conducted daily, in the morning and at evening. These classes are held under the direct supervision of Guruji Dr. Asana Andiappan and his team of yoga experts.

    Students are given individual attention and tailor-made yoga sequences, which are taught based on their respective goals and needs.

    With regular practice you can enjoy Increased flexibility and strength can help prevent the causes of some types of aches and pains.

    This class is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, Asanas, Pranayamas Mudras, Bandhas, Kriyas and relaxation techniques are taught in this class. Separate classes are held for ladies and gentlemen.

  • Yoga Therapy Classes

    As a pioneer of Yoga Therapy, Guruji Dr. Asana Andiappan has sequenced a basic series of 34 asanas combined with breathing techniques and relaxation methods and if done systematically it can help balance the tridhosa (Vatha, Pitha Kapha) in our body that helps address various known and unknown ailments in our body.

Individual attention is given to the students and tailor made yoga sequence are taught according to their ailments and goals that they would like to achieve through the yoga practice. Whether you practice yoga for weight loss, asthma, diabetes or just general health this class Is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners from first timers to advanced yoga practitioners.

  • Yoga for Beginners Group Classes

    This class is suitable for house wives and elderly who prefer to take non-peak hour classes. Andiappan Yoga basic series is taught in this class with options and modification for the poses according to the individual’s flexibility and limitation. Instructors will give adjustments and assistance to all the students in the class when needed.

  • Weekend Group Yoga Classes

    (Specially designed for Corporate Executives and IT Professionals)

    Yoga decreases anxiety and produces endorphins in the body, which improve your mood and help to foster positive work relationships. It is the effective technique to detox the body and aid in weight loss.

    This class is specially designed for Corporate Executives and IT professionals to destress and rejuvenate their body and mind with this restorative weekend yoga practice.

    Specific postures and breathing techniques combined with relaxation techniques helps rejuvenate their body and mind to help improve concentration, sleep quality and boosting the immune system in our body.

    Weekend Group Yoga Classes for Students / Kids (upto 13yrs old)

    The earlier one starts yoga the better it is to improve general health and flexibility. Kids can start practicing yoga from the age of 4.

    Yoga promotes physical strength because kids learn to use all of their muscles in new ways. Simple postures and concentration techniques are taught in this class that helps develop strength, agility and coordination. It also helps children to focus and concentrate in school and get better grades.

    If kids start practicing yoga from young age they can improve their immunity, and prevent seasonal illnesses such as common cold, flu ,allergic symptoms and hereditary diseases such as obesity, blood pressure, diabetes etc.

    It has been found to be particularly so for kids with special needs. Studies have shown that yoga benefits children with autism and ADHD

    It also provides tools for practicing compassion, mindfulness, generosity, focus, strength, and flexibility.

    Yoga is something children can practice anywhere without the need of any tools or enquipments, so it is the best family activity if the parents also learn yoga.
