Kumari Lakshmi Andiappan, now almost a full-fledged medical practitioner, has been practicing yoga from the age of two. Besides pursuing a medical degree from the Madras Medical College, Lakshmi has diplomas in Yogic Science and Education, and in Yoga and Naturopathy Science, making her an ideal yoga instructor at the Andiappan College of Yoga in Chennai.
From the age of 15, although it has been one yoga championship after another for Kumari Lakshmi, 11 consecutive champioship awards between 1990 and 2000 at the district, state and international levels, her greatest pride so far has been the Champion of Champs title at the All India Yogasana Competition in 1999.
Although Lakshmi Specialized in Indian classical music in her under graduate years, she is now eager to synergize her medical knowledge with yoga practice so that the can share the best of her learning with students of yoga. |
